Group Four reinforced concrete frame under construction on a sloped plot in Bkassine, Chouf, Lebanon, with stone retaining walls
Structural Works

Structural Works in Lebanon

Reinforced concrete execution across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the Chouf, and the South, plus strengthening on buildings already standing.

The Frame

Reinforced concrete, poured once

Structural work is the part of a build that cannot be corrected cheaply later. Once a frame is up and loaded, changing it means jacketing, cutting, or demolition. The value is in getting the steel, the cover, and the pour right the first time, and holding the records that show it.

We work from the consultant approved structural drawings, prepare shop drawings and bar bending schedules against them, and raise technical queries where a detail does not suit the site. Structural works can be taken as a standalone package or as part of a full contracting appointment.

Scope of works

01

Foundations & Substructure

Isolated and raft footings, tie beams, and substructure walls, set out and cast against the approved structural drawings. Below-ground waterproofing goes on before backfill.

  • Isolated footings and raft foundations
  • Tie beams and substructure walls
  • Below-ground waterproofing
02

Retaining Walls

Reinforced concrete retaining walls for the sloped plots common across the Chouf and Mount Lebanon. Drainage behind the wall is built in as part of the works.

  • Cantilever and gravity retaining walls
  • Backfill drainage and weep holes
  • Slope retention on mountain plots
03

Slabs, Columns & Beams

The reinforced concrete frame, floor by floor. Formwork, steel fixing, and pour sequence are planned together, and service openings are agreed with the MEP drawings before the pour.

  • Columns, beams, and shear walls
  • Solid and ribbed slab systems
  • Formwork, steel fixing, and pour sequencing
04

Structural Strengthening

Work on frames already standing, where loads have changed, an opening has been cut through a structural element, or the concrete has deteriorated.

  • Column and beam jacketing
  • Slab strengthening and new openings
  • Concrete repair and reinforcement treatment
05

Concrete Quality Control

Steel checked against the bar bending schedule before the pour, cover verified, and cube samples taken for testing. Records are kept per element.

  • Pre-pour steel and cover inspection
  • Cube sampling and testing records
  • As-built structural documentation

Concrete works across the Chouf

A pour cannot wait for someone to drive up from Beirut. Our engineers and yard are already in the mountains, which is the practical case for using us on a Chouf or Mount Lebanon site.
