This residential villa, commissioned by Mr. Firas Abou Hasan, rises from a sloped hillside in Baadaran, El Chouf — one of the region's most scenic and historically rich villages. The 360 m² property draws directly on Lebanon's Mediterranean architectural tradition, combining heavy stonework, graceful arched openings, and a warm red tile roof into a composition that feels both timeless and deeply local.
The stone façade is the defining feature of the exterior. Carefully selected and hand-laid, the masonry wraps the full perimeter of the building, expressing the same material honesty that has characterised Chouf mountain construction for generations. Each arched window and balcony opening adds rhythm and shadow play to the elevation, giving the building a sculptural quality that shifts with the light throughout the day. The balconies extend the interior living spaces outward, creating sheltered outdoor zones that frame views deep into the surrounding valley.
